In this age of empty calories and commoditized flour, Dear Grain’s sourdough breads are made with heritage grains and slow fermented for up to 72 hours. Our goals are to showcase the richer flavours, texture and nutritional value offered by fresh milled flours; and to highlight the overlooked relationship between farmers, bakers and the broader community.

- CLASSIC SERIES -

Country Loaf
The Dear Grain classic country loaf is a substantial flavourful bread that’s light in texture, a true household staple.

Seeded Country Loaf
This is our sourdough country loaf coated with 8 seed varieties giving it a crunchy & flavourful crust while encapsulating a soft & tender crumb.

Silhouette (Dear Grain Toast)
This is the Goldilocks of toast, not entirely whole wheat and not entirely white, it's just right! Featured throughout Detour Cafes food menu.

 

- PORRIDGE SERIES -

Barley Porridge (100% Organic flour)
Our Porridge breads are chewy, moist with a crunchy crust. The high hydration from our recipe keeps the bread fresh for much longer than your average bread.

Sprouted 12 Grain Porridge
Sprouted grains are sweeter in taste and more digestible, making this loaf rich in flavour and high in nutrients. The high hydration from our recipe keeps the bread fresh for much longer than your average bread.

- HEIRLOOM GRAINS -

Ancient Grain Loaf (100% Organic Flour)
Whole grain lovers rejoice! Made with high-end organic heirloom flours: Spelt, Khorasan, Ladoga, white whole wheat, and mixed with sprouted quinoa, millet, flax, red wheat, buckwheat and more. Rich nutty flavour, a true representation of returning bread to its rightful place.
 

Nordic Spelt & Rye
Pumpernickel like denser style sourdough loaf packed with mixed seeds; sesame, flax, sunflower, pumpkin, and sprouted rye berries, folded into a spelt and rye sourdough. The outcome is a tender, moist, dense, and crunchy loaf.

Chocolate Cherry Loaf (V)
Decadence! Featuring coffee from our sister brand Detour Coffee, chocolate and sour cherries in a naturally leavined loaf.

Chocolate Meta Loaf (V + Sugar Free)
Packed with healthy goodness, each slice makes a great power snack. Sprouted grains, five types of seeds, dried fruits, dark chocolate, Nickel Brooke dark beer, combined with whole wheat & Rye. Did we mention that there’s Beer in this bread?
